The history of the Dala horse is very long. After the 17th century AD, in the dense forests of Dalarna in central Sweden, people mostly lived by logging. Once the workers entered the primeval forest, they usually stayed for up to half a year. To make small toys for their children, the workers thought of carving some small wooden toys during their free time as gifts for the children. These toys were loved by children and gradually became a traditional Swedish craft, known as the Dala horse.
Dalarna Design is a local Swedish designer brand that takes the "Dala horse" as its core, showcasing the Nordic natural style and Swedish lifestyle.
