Aalborg Akvavit was created in Denmark in 1846 and is the ultimate representative of Danish dinner drinking culture. The backbone of an Aalborg Akvavit is a neutral-tasting pure spirit made from wheat.

The aquavit gets its characteristic flavor from adding distillates and extracts of natural ingredients like caraway seed, dill seed, lemon zest, amber, ginger and aniseed, to name but a few.

Aalborg Akvavit brings people together to enjoy delicious food and enhances our enjoyment of the present moment.

It is can be used with a variety of dishes, both warm and cold. It goes well with poultry and pork and works nicely with curries and Asian dishes, as well as herring or ham.
